Battlefield Deception:

Those operations conducted at theatre level and below which purposely mislead enemy decision makers by:
a. distortion;
b. concealment;
c. falsification of indicators of friendly intentions, capabilities or dispositions;
d. inducement of enemy decision makers; and
e. operational or tactical actions which are favourable to, and exploitable by, friendly combat operations.
