During the First World War, many members of the Corps of Guides served in Cyclist Companies. Their duties included liaison and reconnaissance, and they suffered heavy casualties keeping the chain-of-command informed on the current situation.
The Intelligence Branch Association is the professional organization of the Canadian Forces Intelligence Branch. Membership is purely voluntary, and is not supported by public funds.
The Association exists to provide, promote, sustain and strengthen bonds between serving and retired members of the Association while fostering and protecting the Canadian Forces Intelligence Branch legacy.
Our membership includes serving and retired intelligence personnel from all three Canadian Forces elements (Navy, Army and Air Force).
