Intelligence Branch Association Bursary
(70K MS Word)
The Association offers a bursary programme, the value and number of
presented awards determined annually by the Executive. Originally
established from an endowment provided by Ms Elizabeth Stephenson in
memory of her uncle, Sir William Stephenson (INTREPID of Second World
War fame and first Colonel-Commandant of the Intelligence Branch), the
bursary provides financial assistance to dependants of members of the
Intelligence Branch Association who are pursuing full-time
post-secondary education.
The health and continuity of the Bursary is a top Association
priority, which deserves the wholehearted support of our members.
Management and awarding of the Bursary is a concrete, meaningful
service which directly benefits dependants of Int Branch
personnel -
both serving and retired. The Bursary is reliant upon very specific
sources of funding, and any individual donations, whether from
Association members or caring individuals within the Int Community, is
greatly appreciated.
The Bursary fund receives 10% of membership dues, a percentage of
kit shop profits, and such donations or fundraising contributions as
may arise. Renewed interest in the Bursary over the past few years has
resulted in several notable donations to the Bursary, as indicated from
time to time by announcements in the Association JOURNAL.
